Venkat Krishnan

Venkat Krishnan has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Venkat is currently serving as the Ambassador - Sustainability & Optimization and India Chapter Lead at ITAM Forum since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Executive Director at EY from October 2021 to December 2022. Venkat also held the position of Director at UBS from August 2018 to September 2021. Before that, they worked as a Senior Manager at Oracle from July 2015 to August 2018. From July 2011 to July 2015, they served as the Senior Practice Manager and Head of IT Asset Management at Wipro. Prior to Wipro, they held the position of Assistant Vice President - ITAM at HSBC from October 2009 to July 2011. Venkat Krishnan also worked as an ITAM Practice Manager / Architect at GE Capital from November 2004 to October 2009. Venkat started their career at Computer Associates as a QA Manager, where they gained experience in storage technical support, bug fixing, and software quality assurance from November 2000 to October 2004. Venkat also worked as a Site Lead at Netexchange from 1999 to 2000 and as a Linux Admin at Cricinfo from 1998 to 1999.

Venkat Krishnan completed their Bachelor of Commerce (Bcom) degree in Commerce, Economics & Accounting from R.A Podar College of Commerce from 1991 to 1996. In 1998-1999, they pursued a degree in Total Quality Management & ISO 9000 from AIMA. From 2005 to 2008, Venkat Krishnan earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business from ICFAI Distance Education. In addition to their formal education, Venkat Krishnan has also obtained various certifications in areas such as Sustainable Development Goal Indicators, Commercial Awareness, Adoption of AI in Contracting, and Negotiations that Support Strategic Value. Venkat has also participated in events such as Vibe Summit 2023 and served as a delegate-panelist for G20 India. Venkat Krishnan holds a Higher Diploma in Software Engineering from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Delhi, which they obtained from 1996 to 1998.
