Chris Thielsen

Chris Thielsen is a Geomechanics Engineer at Itasca Consulting Group, Inc. since December 2020, specializing in numerical modeling and machine learning applications for global engineering solutions. Previous experience includes engineering internships at Itasca Consulting Group, focusing on software testing, marketing, and machine learning projects, as well as serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Geoengineering with a focus on Machine Learning and a Bachelor of Geoengineering with a geological engineering major and computer science minor, both obtained from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, Chris has held roles in various capacities at organizations such as American Engineering Testing, Target, Hyvee Grocery, and Boy Scout Camp Cuyuna.
