Dan McBeain has over 37 years of experience in the retail industry. Dan began their career in 1984 as a Store Manager and Store Owner at multiple retail locations. In 1991, they joined SUPERVALU as a Director of Business Systems, Balanced Scorecard, and Enterprise Advantage. In this role, they led the team responsible for the business requirements, deployment, and support of the new merchandising and retail operations suite of tools. Dan then moved to Yomari Information Services in 2012 as the Director of Client Services. In 2011, they joined Retalix as a Program Manager, where they coordinated project work across multiple teams supporting Target. In 2016, they returned to SUPERVALU as the Director of Shrink and Inventory Management - Retail Food. In 2020, they joined Itasca Retail, an Inc. 5000 Company, as a Retail Consultant and Account Manager. Dan is currently a Retail Consultant and Account Manager at Upshop, a position they have held since 2022. Dan is also the Founder of MCBEAIN, where they provide value to clients across the United States and creates improvements in sales, margin, and labor by improving the tools and use of data within the operations and merchandising teams.
Dan McBeain obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University. In March 2019, they became a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) from Prosci.
