Carlos E. is currently serving as the AVP of Risk Management & Compliance at Itaú Chile, a position held since July 2021. In this role, Carlos acts as the main compliance point of contact for the commercial team, collaborating closely with teams in Chile and Peru to onboard new customers while performing KYC/CDD/EDD processes. Prior to Itaú Chile, Carlos held various positions at Aspiration from January 2019 to 2021, including Associate and Senior Analyst roles in Risk & Compliance, and was the main investigator responsible for preparing Suspicious Activity Reports. Carlos's experience in compliance began at Simple Finance and Bank of the West, along with a research role focused on FCPA investigations at an FCPA Compliance Firm. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and French from Pacific University, complemented by study abroad programs in Spanish and French.
