Professor Of Economic Evaluation And Oil Gas Production at ITBA

Julio Shiratori has extensive work experience in various roles in the oil and gas industry. Julio started their career in 1999 as a Professor of Economic Evaluation and Oil Gas Production at ITBA. In 2000, they joined Weatherford as the Brazil Operation Manager, where they were responsible for developing new repair centers and incorporating new employees. In 2004, they became the Brazil Country Manager at Weatherford and achieved significant milestones such as obtaining Petrobras Certification of Gas Lift Products and winning a lucrative contract. From 2005 to 2008, Julio served as the Latin America New Technology Manager and then the Latin America Recruiting and Technical Training Manager at Weatherford. In 2008, they joined Apache Corporation as part of their Government Affairs and Institutional Relations team. Julio held various roles within Apache, including being responsible for government affairs in Argentina and serving as the VP President of the Argentina Section at SPE. Julio's most recent role was as the Jefe de Relaciones Gubernamentales at YSUR, a company of Group Y.P.F. S.A., which they joined in 2014.

Julio Shiratori has a diverse education background. Julio first attended the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires from 1999 to 2009, where they obtained a degree in Professorship with a specialization in Economic Evaluation and Production. Following this, they enrolled in the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo from 1978 to 1991, earning a Bachelor's degree in Sciences with a focus on Petroleum Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Julio Shiratori received the 2013 SPE Regional Distinguished Achievement Award for Petroleum Engineering Faculty for the South America & Caribbean Region. This certification was awarded by the Society of Petroleum Engineers in January 2013.
