Malcolm Brown

Malcolm Brown has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Malcolm is currently working at ITC Federal as a Risk and Compliance Analyst since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Inserso Corporation for three years as a GRC Analyst from January 2019 to June 2022. Malcolm also worked at New River Systems as a Web Application Support from September 2018 to January 2019. Before that, Malcolm was employed at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as a HelpDesk Analyst from July 2016 to September 2018. Malcolm started their career at Accenture as a Business Analyst from January 2015 to July 2015 and gained initial IT experience at Year Up as an IT Student from September 2014 to July 2015.

Malcolm Brown holds an Associate's degree in Information Technology, which they obtained from Northern Virginia Community College from 2014 to 2015. In addition, they have acquired several certifications in the field of cybersecurity and technical support. These include the Security for the SMB: Implementing the NIST Cybersecurity Framework from LinkedIn in December 2022, the Qualys Guard Certified Specialist from Qualys in November 2022, and the Learning PowerShell and PowerShell 7 Essential Training certifications from LinkedIn in October 2021. Malcolm also obtained the Technical Support Fundamentals certification from Coursera in November 2020, the Ethical Hacking: Introduction to Ethical Hacking certification from LinkedIn in October 2020, and the Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking certification from Cybrary in July 2015. Malcolm is currently pursuing the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate from Google. Furthermore, Malcolm is an (ISC)² Candidate and is expected to obtain this certification in June 2023.
