ITER In-Vessel Assembly Project Leader

Anna Encheva has a robust background in engineering and project management, with extensive experience in roles related to the ITER project. Beginning as an Engineer-scientist at CRPP from September 2005 to November 2007, Anna was responsible for engineering activities related to magnetic diagnostics. Anna has been with the ITER Organization since January 2021, serving in multiple capacities including In-Vessel Assembly Manager, In-Vessel Assembly Project Leader, and Responsible Engineer for In-Vessel Coil’s Conductor Manufacturing. Responsibilities encompass leading assembly activities, managing project resources, and overseeing manufacturing and qualification processes. Prior experience includes mechanical engineering at the Max Planck Institute and technical sales at Festo Bulgaria. Anna holds a PhD in Thermohydraulics and Fluid Dynamics from the Max Planck Society and has an extensive educational background, including an MBA and leadership principles from Harvard Business School.
