Hanna Nordland

User Experience Designer at Itera

Hanna Nordland has significant experience in the field of user experience design. Hanna worked as a User Experience Designer at Itera from February 2023. Prior to this, they served as a User Experience Consultant at Bouvet ASA from August 2021 to January 2023. During their time at Bouvet, they worked on expert and complex systems projects, utilizing methods from interaction design, service design, and systems-oriented design. Hanna gained valuable experience in working in an agile manner and collaborating closely with developers, end users, and customers.

Before joining Bouvet ASA, Hanna worked as a UX Designer at Ocean Industries Concept Lab (OICL) from June 2019 to June 2021. At OICL, they contributed to the research project OpenBridge, which aimed to standardize user interfaces for safety critical systems in the maritime industry. Hanna worked independently and in small teams, applying OICL's case-driven and incremental approach to innovation. Hanna also contributed to the development of OICL's Figma design system.

Earlier in their career, Hanna worked as a Workshop Student Assistant (Laser Cutting) at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) from September 2017 to June 2021. Hanna also served as a Mentor at MentorNorge AS from February 2016 to January 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer at SINTEF for a brief period from February 2013 to April 2013.

Hanna Nordland pursued their education in a variety of fields and institutions. Hanna began their academic journey in 2011 at the University of South-Eastern Norway, where they completed preparation studies in Philosophy and Spanish in cooperation with Gateway College in Mexico. In the same year, they also studied Industrial and Product Design at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

Moving forward, Hanna enrolled at the University of Oslo (UiO) in 2013 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in European Studies/Civilization in 2016. During their time at UiO, they had an opportunity to further their knowledge by studying Russian Studies at the Baltic State Technical University "VOENMEH" named after D.F. Ustinov in 2015.

Following their Bachelor's degree, Hanna pursued a Master's degree in Design from The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO), starting in 2016 and completing their studies in 2021. Their specialization in Design allowed their to delve deeper into the field and expand their expertise.

Additionally, Hanna Nordland acquired the certification of being an ALL-Certified Scrum Master from AgileLeanHouse A/S in August 2022, further enhancing their skills and professional qualifications.
