Andrew Freeman P.e., Ptoe

Andrew Freeman, P.E., PTOE has a diverse work experience in the field of transportation engineering. Andrew served as a Sr. Engineer at Iteris, Inc. from 2023. Prior to that, they worked at TranSmart as a Transportation Engineer and Project Manager from 2019 to 2023, where they were responsible for traffic signal planning and management of multiple projects. Andrew also worked as a Traffic Engineer at Sam Schwartz from 2016 to 2019. Andrew has experience in field engineering, project management, and traffic count collection as a Transportation Engineer at Atlas Engineering Group, Ltd. from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, they served as the Technical Group Director for the Illinois Section of ITE from 2020 to 2022, where they organized technical webinars and events.

Andrew Freeman, P.E., PTOE completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their undergraduate degree, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2015, Andrew Freeman received the "Documentation of Contract Quantities" certification from the Illinois Department of Transportation. Later, in November 2021, they became a Licensed Professional Engineer through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Most recently, in March 2022, Andrew Freeman earned the Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification from the TRANSPORTATION PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION BOARD INC.
