Birte Schmitz is an experienced professional in the fields of healthcare technology and neuroscience. Currently serving as a Produktmanager at ITH icoserve technology for healthcare GmbH since August 2021, Birte previously worked as a Software-Entwickler at in-tech GmbH from July 2019 to July 2021 and as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at Medizinische Hochschule Hannover from April 2015 to May 2018. Birte's academic background includes a Doctor of Science in Neuroscience from Medizinische Hochschule Hannover (2015-2020), a Master of Science in Mathematics in Medicine and Lifescience from Universität zu Lübeck (2012-2015), and a Bachelor of Science in Biomathematik from the University of Applied Sciences Koblenz (2009-2012). Additionally, Birte conducted research on tissue sample imaging during the Master and Bachelor studies, focusing on modeling cracks in histological images and analyzing nerve fiber structures in high-resolution microscopy images of human brain tissue.
