Daniel Cook

Daniel Cook is an accomplished musician and educator currently serving as the Director of Bands at Ithaca College since July 2023. Prior to this role, Daniel held the position of Lecturer of Wind Studies and Director of Athletic Bands at the University of North Texas from June 2019 to July 2023. Daniel's experience includes serving as an Ensemble Specialist for the Santa Clara Vanguard and as a Resident Conductor for the Dallas Brass Band. Additional roles include Brass Instructor and Assistant Brass Caption Head for the Phantom Regiment, Doctoral Assistant at Northwestern University, Brass Instructor for the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, and Director of Bands for Volusia County Schools. Daniel also contributed as a Pianist at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Musical Arts in Conducting and a Master’s Degree in Conducting from Northwestern University, along with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from The University of Georgia.
