Christian Ellis

Christian Ellis is a seasoned geophysicist with extensive experience in exploration and development across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Senior Exploration Geophysicist and Team Lead at Ithaca Energy since September 2017, Christian has led several geoscience teams and projects, notably the WOS Tornado development. Previous roles include Senior Geophysicist at Shell, where a joint venture focused on reversing declining oil rates and reserves, and Manager of Multiclient Interpretation at CGG, where contributions were made to exploration projects in Brazil and Australia. Additional experience includes managerial positions at Fugro and a foundational role as a Structural Geologist at CGG, along with independent consulting. Christian holds a PhD in Alpine Structural Geology from Aberystwyth University and a degree in Geology from Durham University.
