Émile Bourban's work experience begins in February 2020 with an internship at iThera Medical GmbH. During this internship, they focused on developing a robust image processing and analysis framework using Python and Qt5. The goal of the project was to contribute to the optimal reconstruction, visualization, and quantification of Multispectral Optoacoustic Tomography signals.
In September 2020, Émile began a Master Thesis Project at Empa, which is ongoing. Finally, in October 2021, they started their current role as a Research and Development Engineer at iThera Medical GmbH.
Émile Bourban completed their Bachelor's degree in Sciences et Technologies du Vivant at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2014 to 2018. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Ingénierie biomédicale / médicale at the same institution from 2018 to 2020.
