Amir Bannoura has a diverse range of work experience. Amir started their career as a System Engineer at EXCEED IT Services in 2008, where they worked until March 2009. Amir then worked as a Student Research Assistant at the University of Stuttgart from December 2010 to October 2011.
Following this, Amir worked as a Scientific Researcher at IMTEK, University of Freiburg from December 2011 to December 2015. Amir then joined endiio as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in November 2012 and continued in this role until February 2018.
In 2018, they worked as a Project Leader at VC/O, where they focused on Connected Devices Development for the Viessmann Group. In 2019, Amir took a sabbatical from the industry and worked as an Assistant Professor and Visiting Lecturer at Bethlehem University, teaching courses on Computer Architecture Design and Software Requirements.
Later in 2019, they joined ithinx GmbH as a Senior Software Project Manager, specifically in the Embedded IoT sector for Viessmann Group. Amir introduced new IoT devices and represented Viessmann in the Connected Home over IP project initiated by the Connectivity Standard Alliance.
Throughout their career, Amir has gained experience in various roles and industries, showcasing their expertise in software development, project management, and research.
Amir Bannoura completed their education in a chronological manner, starting with a B.Sc. degree in Computer and Information Systems from Bethlehem University from the years 2004 to 2008. Amir then pursued an M.Sc. in Information Technology from the University of Stuttgart, completing it from 2009 to 2011. Amir further continued their academic journey by obtaining a Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) in Algorithms & Protocols Design for Wireless Sensor Networks from The University of Freiburg, which they accomplished between 2011 to 2016.
In terms of additional certifications, Amir obtained the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute in October 2017.
