Rachel Smith

Rachel Smith is the current Executive Director at ITM Power. Rachel has over 25 years of experience in environmental sustainability, economic development, and business.

Rachel began their career as a Scientific Officer at the UK CEED in 2001. There, they worked on a variety of projects focused on reconciling environmental protection and economic development priorities. In 1996, they transitioned to Smartwood, where they served as Technical Director for three years.

In their current role at ITM Power, Rachel is responsible for leading the company's technical strategy and product development. Under their guidance, ITM Power has become a world leader in sustainable energy solutions.

Rachel Smith completed a BSc(Hons) in Science at De Montfort University. Rachel then went on to complete an MSc in Energy Conservation at Cranfield University. Finally, they completed an Engineering Doctorate in Engineering and Chemistry at Cranfield University.
