Shun-Ya Shimizu

Shun-ya Shimizu has extensive experience in research and development, product design, and marketing within the office furniture industry. Currently serving as Executive Officer and Head of Central Laboratory and R&D at ITOKI CORPORATION since July 2006, Shun-ya leads initiatives focused on innovation in office furniture. Previously, Shun-ya held the position of Director of the Product Design Center, overseeing product marketing, planning, styling, and design. Additionally, Shun-ya was General Manager of Marketing for the Healthcare & Education sector, responsible for promoting and developing products for these markets. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief Secretary at ITOKI UNION from 1998 to 2000, exclusively supporting the labor union for ITOKI staff. Shun-ya holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science from Osaka Prefecture University and has further education in cognitive psychology from Nagoya Designer Gakuin.
