Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith is a seasoned executive in grid management, currently serving as the Grid Management Executive at Itron, Inc. since January 2018. In this role, Smith focuses on delivering critical infrastructure services through smart networks, software, and sensor technologies for utilities and cities globally. Prior to joining Itron, Smith was the Global Head of Grid Management at Silver Spring Networks, where leadership was provided in business development and product strategy. Smith's career includes significant positions such as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Greenbox Technology Inc., Vice President of Product Marketing at Liquid Audio, and Director of Product Marketing at Sony Electronics Inc. Smith holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
