Bastian Awischus

Bastian Awischus has seven years of work experience. In 2013, they worked as a Service Technician Supervisor at Titans Bookstore, where they were responsible for establishing the Titan Tech Service Center, managing workflow, training technicians and providing support structure. From 2016 to 2017, they worked at Siemens PLM Software as a System Support Engineer, providing technical troubleshooting for Siemens NX, FEMA, JACK and License Server, conducting independent research to diagnose and repair licensing issues, and maintaining customer relations and support. In 2017, they were contracted through Infosys to work as an Associate Engineer at Southern California Edison (SCE), where they participated in a full stack developer bootcamp for the first three months. In 2018, they began working at Zodiac Aerospace as a Webtools QA Engineer, collecting requirements from customers and management to solidify product features, collaborating with software development on design reviews and product vision, and developing test plans to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Bastian also held the role of Scrum Master, where they were responsible for ensuring Scrum and LeSS Framework was understood by the Development Team, Product Owner and Organization. Bastian also held the role of Product Developer and Test Engineer II, where they were responsible for gathering requirements documents and curating, updating and executing test plans, testing and verifying production and customer software for various aircraft, and curating, setting up and verifying hardware and aircraft simulators for valid testing. In 2021, they began working at UC Innovation as a Senior Software QA Engineer, where they were responsible for leading and managing Automation for regression testing of several customers by introducing and setting up TestProject and Docker, creating and managing projects for Regression and Automation Testing using Salesforce and Jira, and contributing to monthly Feature and Bug testing. Currently, they are working as a Software QA Automation Engineer II at iTrustCapital, where they are responsible for manual and automation testing of iOS and web app for a leading crypto IRA platform, building out feature automation using Robot, Selenium Library, and Chrome webdriver to stress test scalability of Conditional Transactions, validating that backend mutations updates application cache using Another Redis Tool, and validating branch, UAT, Staging, and Production database by executing SQL queries.

Bastian Awischus obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from California State University, Fullerton between 2013 and 2017. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate's Degree in Mathematics from Golden West College between 2011 and 2013. Bastian also holds a Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA) certification obtained in June 2021, a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification obtained in September 2018, a Certified LeSS Practitioner certification obtained in August 2018, an Apple Certified Technician certification, and an OS X, Hardware, Mac Pro, MacBook Pro Retina (all models) certification.
