Charlie Jackson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Most recently, in 2022, they joined MARTA as the Senior Director of CX Innovation. Prior to that, they worked at Capital Metro for 13 years as the Director of Transit Technology Systems. During this time, they managed various transit-related systems and projects. In 2015, Charlie co-founded Diversity Fund and served as the CEO, focusing on providing financing for startups led by women, minority, veteran, and LGBT entrepreneurs. Charlie also founded and served as CEO of Acceleros from 2003 to 2009. Charlie's earlier experience includes working as a Director of IT & Process Improvement and International Program Manager at Inventes, Inc. where they led international IT initiatives and managed services projects for global clients. Charlie was also a co-founder and CTO of CONNECTIONE WIRELESS SOLUTIONS INC., providing mobile management solutions to law firms and energy companies. Charlie's career began at Oracle where they worked as a Software Product and Marketing Manager. Charlie also founded Ki-SOFT Software and held a role as the Director of IBM Customer Registration and Senior Software Product Manager at Kantar.
Charlie Jackson has a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization (MSTC) from The University of Texas at Austin, a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare IT from Texas State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Government from The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, Charlie has obtained certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster (SCM) from Scrum Alliance, in Information Technology infrastructure Library (ITIL) from EXIN, in Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) from Texas State University, as a LGBT Business Enterprise (LGBTBE) from the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), and as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
