Emil Tzanov

Emil Tzanov, CIA, CFA, currently serves as the Chief Audit Executive and Assistant General Manager for Internal Audit at MARTA, a position held since February 2017. Prior to this role, Emil was the Senior Director of Internal Audit at HP from 2014 to 2016, where key responsibilities included driving risk assessments and audit strategy across global business units, supervising audit engagements, and mentoring within the IIA Atlanta Chapter. Emil's tenure at Hewlett-Packard also included the role of Internal Audit Director from 2003 to 2014, overseeing audit operations for corporate functions and leading strategic initiatives. Academic credentials include an MBA in Finance from Emory University's Goizueta Business School, completed in 1997.
