Babar Mahmood has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Babar started their career as a Finance Officer at Trust Investment Bank Limited in 2007, where they were responsible for credit appraisal, analysis of applications, and negotiation of lease facilities. Babar then joined Ernst & Young as an Associate IS Auditor in 2008, where they assisted in planning audits and evaluating evidentiary data. In 2011, they joined T.C. ZIRAAT BANKASI A.S. as a Functional Consultant, where they prepared financial statements, projected financials, and ensured compliance with accounting policies and regulations. Babar then moved to NdcTech in 2019, where they served as a Project Manager for Temenos T24 Core Banking & Infinity Digital Banking. In this role, they managed the implementation of T24 Core Banking, worked as a liaison between various teams and vendors, and played a crucial role in UAT planning and execution. Finally, in 2022, they joined ITSS as an IT Project Manager, specifically focusing on the Temenos T24 Core Banking & Infinity Digital Banking projects.
Babar Mahmood has a diverse education history spanning multiple years. In 2004, they began their Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a focus on International Business/Trade/Commerce at the University of the Punjab. Babar completed this degree in 2006.
Following their undergraduate studies, in 2006, Babar Mahmood pursued further education in Accountancy & Finance by enrolling in the Association of Certified Charted Accountants (ACCA) program. Babar completed this program in 2009.
In 2003, before completing their Bachelor's degree, Babar Mahmood also studied Business/Managerial Economics at the University of the Punjab, earning a degree in Bachelor of Economics in 2005.
After several years of professional experience, Babar Mahmood decided to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Banking & Finance. Babar enrolled in the Virtual University of Pakistan in 2019 and completed their MBA in 2020.
Continuing their educational journey, in 2020, Babar Mahmood pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Software Engineering at NED University of Engineering and Technology. Babar completed this program in 2021, further enhancing their skills in Computer Software Engineering.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Babar Mahmood has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skill set. These include the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in March 2021. Other certifications include a Certificate in AML from FINANSO obtained in September 2016, and Certificates in Zakat & Income Tax and IFRS obtained from Ernst & Young in June 2014, August 2012, and July 2011, respectively.
