Arun Aggarwal

Arun Aggarwal has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. ARUN started their career at Zee Telefilms Ltd in 1998, where they served as the Sr Vice President Finance & Commercial. During their time there, they were responsible for financial statements finalization, liaising with banks and financial institutions, and ensuring statutory compliance.

In 2005, Arun joined Zee Turner Ltd as the CFO, where they played a lead role in dealing with foreign and Indian channel partners and conceptualizing revenue-generating models in channel distribution. ARUN worked there until 2008.

From 2010 to 2011, Arun worked as the CFO at Koutons Retail India Ltd, where they focused on reviving the company from financial crises through corporate debt restructuring and reinstating brand equity.

In 2011, they moved on to become the Media Group CFO at Newsx /ITV Group, where they held the position of Finance/Operational Head and spearheaded the distribution business. ARUN was involved in strategic broadcast channel acquisitions, MSO acquisition deals, and establishing revenue-generating business entities for the group. ARUN worked there until 2013.

In 2013, Arun joined Infinity Media Networks (Pty) Ltd as the Business Head, where they successfully led a team in setting up facilities for a 24x7 news channel in South Africa. The channel, named ANN7, was launched in August 2013.

From 2014 to 2019, Arun worked at ITV Network in two different roles. Initially, they served as the Director Finance, where they gained invaluable experience in business valuations, due diligence, corporate restructuring, M&A advisory, credit control, and finance in the media and IT industry. Later, they took on the role of Director and continued to handle debt restructuring assignments, debt realizations, and the creation of effective systems and procedures for resource utilization.

Lastly, since 2019, Arun has been self-employed and has been practicing as an Independent Resolution Professional.

Arun Aggarwal received their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in Science from Kendriya Vidyalaya Delhi Cantt in 1976. ARUN then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Botany/Plant Biology from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University, which they completed in 1979. Following this, they enrolled in The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, from where they obtained their FCA (Fellow Chartered Accountant) degree in Accounting and Finance in 1984. In the same year, Arun Aggarwal also enrolled in The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, where they earned their ACS (Associate Company Secretary) degree in 1984. Lastly, they pursued their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Law from Delhi University, completing it in 1987.
