Katharine Oates

Katharine Oates is an experienced HR professional currently serving as Head of People Policy at ITV since September 2022. Previously, Oates held roles including People Policy Manager at ITV, Human Resources Consultant at Trafford Council, and Team Leader at Greater Manchester Police, where responsibilities included managing a team of HR Advisors and addressing various HR issues. Oates also worked as an HR Officer/Manager at Omni RMS and was involved in HR operations at ITV for over a decade, where expertise included policy development and compliance. Oates began the HR career as an HR Officer at Railtrack and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in HRM (CIPD) from The Manchester Metropolitan University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Studies from the University of Leeds.
