Hamish Clarke is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne and serves as Chair of the Early and Mid-Career Academics and Practitioners (EMCAP) Network at Natural Hazards Research Australia. With a diverse background in climate science and environmental risk management, Hamish has held various academic roles, including Co-convenor of Science at the Local, Special Advisor for the IUCN, Research Fellow with the Earth System Governance Project, and has contributed significantly to policy and research during tenure at the Office of Environment and Heritage in New South Wales. Hamish holds a PhD in Climate Science from UNSW and has a strong focus on advocating for early- and mid-career researchers through roles such as Deputy Chair of the EMCR Forum Executive.
