Lynn Sorrentino

Lynn Sorrentino is a Project Officer at IUCN focusing on plastics pollution and treaty processes since July 2020, involved in various significant projects such as the IUCN Academy Plastic Pollution Hotspotting Assessments and collaborations with UNOPS and the University of Bern. Additionally, Sorrentino serves as an Academic Fellow at the University of Geneva, starting July 2025, dedicated to microplastic pollution and policy. Past experience includes roles as a Communications and Events Specialist at EPFL, a STEM Ambassador with Engineering Education Scheme Wales Ltd, an MSc student specializing in Marine Environmental Protection at Bangor University, and communications positions at WaterLex and the Convention on Wetlands. Sorrentino holds an MSc with Distinction in Marine Environmental Protection from Bangor University and a Certificate in International Water Law from the University of Geneva.
