Niki Rust

Niki Rust, PhD, is a highly experienced professional in environmental sustainability and biodiversity management, currently serving as a Commission Member with the IUCN Climate Crisis Commission and CEESP. Since 2013, Niki has been a Strategic Director, providing expert advice to various organizations on sustainability strategies and policies. Previous roles include Assistant Director in Sustainability for Sheffield City Council, Head of Land, Agriculture & Nature at the Climate Change Committee, and leadership positions within the UK Civil Service and other organizations. Niki's academic background includes a PhD in Biodiversity Management and a Master's in Conservation Biology from the University of Kent, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Zoology. Notable accomplishments include influencing key UK environmental policies and securing significant funding for nature-based initiatives.
