Paola Villavicencio Calzadilla

Paola Villavicencio Calzadilla is an accomplished legal professional and academic specializing in environmental law and climate change law. Currently serving as a Collaborating Professor in the Master's program in Human Rights and Globalization at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Paola simultaneously holds positions as a lawyer and legal researcher at Insta - Dret ambiental, diàleg i sostenibilitat and as an Associate Research Fellow at the Tarragona Centre for Environmental Law Studies. With a background that includes significant roles such as an Extraordinary Research Fellow at North West University Potchefstroom Campus and a Commission Member for the Climate Change Specialist Group at the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law, Paola has also contributed as a Consulting Editor for the Global Center on Adaptation. Educational credentials include an International PhD and Master's degree in Environmental Law from Universitat Rovira i Virgili, complemented by a higher education diploma and a law degree from Bolivian universities.
