Roderic Mast

Co-chairman

Roderic Mast is an accomplished conservation leader with extensive experience in marine turtle conservation and management. As President and CEO of the Oceanic Society since April 2012, Roderic has previously served as Executive Vice President. Roderic co-chairs the IUCN Marine Turtle Specialist Group, the largest global network of experts dedicated to sea turtle conservation, providing critical assessments and developing global strategies. Roderic is also the founder and chief editor of the State of the World's Sea Turtles Report, an essential platform for monitoring and communication regarding sea turtles. Prior to these roles, Roderic held several vice-presidential positions at Conservation International, focusing on various programs and regions. Roderic's academic background includes a Master's degree in Intercultural Management and a Bachelor's degree in Biology, specializing in Marine Biology.
