David Lopez Jr.

David Lopez Jr. serves as the National Organizer, Business Manager, and Business Agent for the International Union of Elevator Constructors since January 2019. In addition, Lopez holds several leadership positions, including President of the Dallas Building and Construction Trades Council and Executive Vice President of Texas State Building Trades. Lopez is also the Vice President of Texas AFL-CIO and an active member of various boards and councils, such as the Board of Trustees for the National Elevator Industry Educational Program and the Executive Board of Dallas AFL-CIO. Education includes attendance at Harvard University and Cornell University's ILR School, along with participation in the Texas AFL-CIO Ruth Ellinger Leadership Academy. A Fellow at the Latino Center for Leadership Development, training focused on enhancing leadership skills and policy-making competencies.
