Joshua Downey

Joshua Downey currently serves as the Special Assistant to the General President at the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT), where effective representation is provided for over 160,000 members in North America. Previously, Joshua held the position of President at the Denver Area Labor Federation, focusing on uniting and mobilizing unions for the improvement of working conditions and living standards. Additional experience includes roles as Political Director for Service Employees International Union, Local 105, and as a Research, Communications & Policy Strategist. Joshua began a career in organizing as the Organizing Director at Grassroots Campaigns. Joshua holds a BA in Politics from Drake University.
