Melanie Silverstein

Melanie Silverstein is currently serving as the Political Director at the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades since March 2022. Prior to this role, Melanie was a Community Organizer at the Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights Inc. and worked as a Legal Assistant-Writer at Vazquez & Servi, P.C. In September 2020, Melanie took on the position of Field Organizer with Knock Knock LLC, focusing on voter engagement during the general election in Minnesota. Melanie has also gained experience in education as an English Teacher with the Organización de Profesores Extranjeros and Volunteers Colombia, where responsibilities included lesson planning and co-teaching. Academic qualifications include a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Georgia, where Melanie also held intern and student worker positions, as well as serving as a Teaching Assistant.
