David Van Heerden

David van Heerden is the Vice President, Finance, Treasury and Tax for Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. He joined Ivanhoe in 2011 and have assumed progressively senior responsibilities in finance. He has more than 10 years of experience in financial, treasury and tax management, particularly in global resources and mining. Prior to joining Ivanhoe Mines, he was in the assurance division of Ernst & Young Inc in Johannesburg, South Africa with a focus on mining and construction clients.

He is a registered Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor and an Honours degree in Chartered Accountancy.
