Dina Joy Abulon

Dina Joy Abulon has extensive experience in the field of medical affairs and clinical development. Dina Joy is currently working as the Medical Director and Clinical Lead at Iveric Bio, a position they have held since December 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Medical Affairs Director at MediSyn LLC from July 2021 to December 2021.

Before joining MediSyn, Dina worked as a Medical Affairs and Medical Writing Consultant at Dina Abulon Consulting from September 2020 to December 2021. Dina Joy also had a long and successful tenure at Alcon, starting in 2006. During their time at Alcon, Dina held various roles including Senior Global Clinical Development & Medical Affairs Lead, Global Brand Medical Affairs Lead, Disease Area Scientific Head, and Engineer II, Vitreoretinal Instrumentation.

Dina Joy Abulon completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at UC Santa Barbara from 1999 to 2004. Dina Joy then pursued a Master's degree specializing in Mechanical Engineering Design at San Diego State University from 2004 to 2006. Currently, they are working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Robotics at UC Irvine, which they started in 2015 and is expected to complete in 2023.
