Beata Gafka

Beata Gafka serves as an Assistant Professor in Finance at Ivey Business School at Western University since July 2022. Previous experience includes a role as an Analyst in OTC Client Clearing at Commerzbank AG, where responsibilities involved coverage of German-speaking clients. Additionally, Gafka interned as a Summer Analyst in Risk Management at Barclays Investment Bank, focusing on mark-to-market models of credit default swaps. Gafka holds a DPhil in Finance from the University of Oxford and a Master of Science in Finance from Università Bocconi. Academic credentials also include Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Finance and Accounting from SGH Warsaw School of Economics, along with participation in the EU Erasmus Exchange Programme at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business. Educational foundations were laid at XIV Stanislaw Staszic High School in Warsaw, where skills in mathematics, physics, and computer science were developed.
