James Thompson

James (Jim) Thompson is a highly experienced executive with a robust background in retail and not-for-profit sectors. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for The Burlington Performing Arts Centre and as an Executive in Residence at Ivey Business School, Thompson's focus includes fostering community engagement in the arts and mentoring MBA students. With over 40 years in significant roles at Walmart, ranging from Chief Operations Officer to Senior Vice President, Thompson has led operations and merchandising for over 400 stores across multiple regions, contributing to substantial sales and profit growth.
