Matt Sooy

Matt Sooy currently serves as the Faculty Program Director for the Honours Business Administration (HBA) program and as an Assistant Professor at Ivey Business School, Western University since June 2016. Prior to this role, Matt was a Lecturer and PhD Student at the University of Kentucky from July 2012 to May 2016 and a Lecturer/Research Assistant at Indiana University Bloomington from June 2009 to July 2012. Earlier experience includes working as an Associate in State & Local Tax at KPMG from June 2005 to July 2007, where responsibilities included leading process reviews and managing key client contacts. Matt's career began in the dot-com sector, contributing to website development for small businesses from July 1998 to July 2001. Matt holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, an MBA in Finance and Decision Science from Emory University, and a BBA in Accounting from Georgia State University - J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
