Antonio Pellicer

Professor Pellicer is a member of the Executive Board of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the International Federation of Fertility Societies. He was president of the Sociedad Española de Fertilidad (Spanish Fertility Society) from 1994 to 1996, and is currently member of Spain’s National Commission on Assisted Human Reproduction. He has authored more than 300 chapters of books, and written more than 800 articles published in national and international journals. He has given more than 475 lectures at conferences around the world.

He studied medicine at the University of Valencia, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Clinical Hospital of that city and subspecializing in Reproductive Medicine at Yale University (USA), and the University of Mainz (Germany). Having been a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Valencia since 1999, he was Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry from 2006 to 2012. He has headed the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of La Fe University Hospital since 2009.
