Nita Song has a diverse work experience, starting in 1991 with IW Group Inc. where they held several positions including Vice President and Account Director. During this time, they managed key agency accounts and was responsible for growth strategy, marketing plans, PR plans, and campaign implementation. In 1996, Nita joined AT&T as the Director of Communications and Community Affairs for the Western Region. Nita oversaw regional community relations and communications strategies, serving as a regional spokesperson and managing regional program and partnership development. In 1999, Nita became the Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Marketing and Communications at Netsperanto, an internet start-up focused on building ethnic online communities. Their role involved leading the company's vision to become a comprehensive online destination for multicultural populations. Since 2000, Nita has been the President and CEO of IW Group, a multicultural marketing agency. In addition to managing the overall growth of the company, they led the transition and expansion of IW Group into a full-service multicultural marketing agency specializing in digital marketing, social media, experiential, cause marketing, CSR, and DE&I expertise. Under their leadership, IW Group received accolades, including being named Ad Age's 2022 Multicultural Marketing Agency of the Year. Nita has worked with notable clients such as McDonald's, Walmart, Lexus, Warner Bros, Wells Fargo, Beam Suntory, Northwestern Mutual, and Sony Pictures.

Nita Song attended the University of Southern California from 1986 to 1997. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Journalism & Political Science.
