Edi Giger has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Edi started their career in 2010 as a Software Developer at PDC Marketing + Information Technology AG, where they worked on ASP.NET WebForms and integrated third-party tools. In 2012, they joined AP Informatik Schweiz as a Software Developer, focusing on ASP.NET, Java, and JavaScript development, as well as database management.
In 2013, Edi joined Migros Genossenschaft Luzern as an ICT Application Developer, where they worked until 2016. Their responsibilities included SharePoint development. Following this, they joined Genossenschaft Migros Basel as a SharePoint Developer, from 2016 to 2018.
Their most recent role was at IWB Industrielle Werke Basel, starting in 2018, where they worked as a SharePoint and Azure Cloud Engineer. In this role, they developed SharePoint and web applications, as well as integration interfaces using Azure Functions and Angular for front-end development.
Edi Giger completed their education in Software Engineering from Zürcher Lehrmeistervereinigung Informatik between 2007 and 2009. Edi obtained a degree in Informatiker Schwerpunkt Applikationsentwicklung (EFZ) with a focus on Software Engineering. In addition, they acquired a Master of advanced studies in Software-Engineering from HSR Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil in August 2015.
