Kate H. has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Kathryn (Kate) is currently serving as the Director of Pharmacy & Pharmacy Residency Program at IWK Health since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at CHEO -- Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, where they held several roles including Director, CHEOWorks and Operations Support, Interim Director COVID Response, Pharmacy Manager, and COVID-19 Pandemic Incident Management Team Planning Section Chief. Kathryn (Kate) also served as the President - Internal Portfolio for the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP) Ontario Branch from November 2016 to October 2019. Kate H. has extensive experience at various hospitals including Queensway Carleton Hospital, where they worked as a Pharmacy Manager - Clinical & Professional Practice, and Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, where they served as a Clinical Pharmacist. Kathryn (Kate) also has experience as a Pharmacy Resident at London Health Sciences Centre.
Kate H. has a diverse education history. Kathryn (Kate) completed their Master of Health Administration (MHA) at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) from the University of Toronto between 2002 and 2006. Their undergraduate education began at St. Francis Xavier University from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) with a focus on Biology and Chemistry. Additionally, Kate obtained certifications as a Pharmacist from the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists in 2022 and from the Ontario College of Pharmacists in March 2007.
