Derek Neil

Derek Neil is a seasoned professional in transaction services with extensive experience leading teams and advising on mergers and acquisitions. Currently serving as the Head of Transaction Services at BDO UK since 2004, Derek oversees a team of 150 due diligence experts, enhancing client deal performance. Previously, as a Corporate Finance Partner, responsibilities included growing the vendor and private equity due diligence sectors. Derek also held the position of Investment Director at Lyceum Capital, focusing on investment opportunities and portfolio development. Earlier in the career, Derek served as Senior Manager in Transaction Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working with notable corporate clients and implementing risk management procedures in Australia. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Accounting and Financial Analysis from Newcastle University.
