Kamil Maharajh

Kamil Maharajh is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in the financial and technology sectors. Currently serving as a Manager and Lead Data Scientist at BDO UK LLP since September 2023, Kamil previously held the position of Senior Data Scientist at ShopriteX from September 2020 to August 2023. Prior roles include various positions at Glacier by Sanlam from March 2011 to August 2020, encompassing data science, business intelligence, and actuarial analysis, as well as a Performance Analyst role at Sanlam Investments between March 2009 and March 2011. Academically, Kamil holds a BCom in Financial Risk and Investments from Stellenbosch University, is pursuing a BSC Honours from the University of South Africa, and has attained multiple certifications, including AWS Cloud Practitioner and ML Engineer, as well as FASSA from the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
