Leonore Tjikune

Leonore Tjikune is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as the Director of Communications for the International Water Resources Association (IWRA) since June 2021. Leonore has extensive experience in digital media, event coordination, and project management, highlighted by roles such as Digital Media Officer for The Afrofest Events and Project Manager at Dololo Operations (Pty) Ltd, a leading startup incubator in Namibia. Leonore's background includes freelance journalism and social media management with the Windhoek Observer, and a solid educational foundation with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Politics from the University of South Africa, complemented by certificates in Project Management and Event Management from IIE Varsity College. Currently, Leonore is pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Development at Stellenbosch University.
