Satish Dhanasekaran is the president and chief executive officer at Keysight Technologies. As chief operating officer, Dhanasekaran is responsible for growing orders and increasing annual recurring revenue for the company. He oversees the functions that contribute to these objectives, including market and technology research; development of new technologies, products, and solutions; services; marketing; and sales.
Previously, Dhanasekaran served as the president of Keysight’s Communications Solutions Group, the $3.2 billion global business that addresses the communications ecosystem including wireless and wireline, as well as aerospace defense. He and his team secured Keysight’s leadership in 5G and made significant contributions to accelerate technology adoptions in other key areas, including 400G and electromagnetic spectrum operations.
Dhanasekaran joined the company in 2006. Prior to leading the Communications Solutions Group, he managed the company’s wireless business where he drove the transformation of Keysight's portfolio to provide design and test solutions across the full communications stack, including both hardware and software layers, and positioned the business for leadership in 5G. Dhanasekaran has more than 20 years of experience in the communications industry spanning business leadership, product, and technical roles at Keysight, and Agilent prior to the company’s separation, as well as Motorola.
Throughout his career, he has been at the forefront of communications ecosystem advances. While at Motorola, he led development for first-generation smartphone devices. During his early years at Agilent, his team produced industry-leading performance products in the radio frequency (RF) space. At Keysight, his team played a critical role helping industry-leading customers with cutting-edge design and testing to bring 5G to market.
Dhanasekaran is passionate about progressing technology adoptions rapidly through active industry body participation. He is a member of the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Technological Advisory Committee and sponsors Keysight representation in standards bodies such as 3GPP, CTIA – The Wireless Association, GCF/PTCRB, and industry consortia including IMT-2020 and the International Wireless Industry Consortium (IWPC).
He holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from Florida State University and an executive education certification from The Wharton Business School.
