Katherine Schaefer

Katherine Schaefer, M.Ed., is a seasoned education professional currently serving as a District Partnership Specialist at IXL Learning since April 2024. Prior experience includes roles such as Director of Student Supports at Vista College Prep and Director of Student Support Services at KIPP NYC. Katherine has also held leadership positions at DSST Public Schools as Director of Curriculum and Instruction and at Achievement First Crown Heights Elementary School as Dean of Special Services, among others. With a foundation in special education, Katherine has worked in various capacities, including as a Learning Specialist and Resource Teacher. Katherine holds a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University, a Master’s Degree in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Elementary Special Education Programs from Hunter College, and a Bachelor of Science in Design from Arizona State University.
