Senior Software Engineer at IXL Learning

Kevin Le has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kevin is currently working as a Software Engineer at IXL Learning since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked at IBM as a Software Engineer from July 2018 to June 2021.

Kevin also has experience in the academic sector, having been a Graduate Student at the University of Southern California from August 2016 to July 2018. During this time, they held various roles including Software Engineering Intern at Dreamtek Industries, where they worked on back-end development and natural language processing for a financial services project. Kevin also interned at Schlumberger, where they developed a data pre-conditioning workflow for seismic applications in oil exploration. Kevin's involvement with USC also included a research assistant position at USC TEAMCORE Research Lab, where they performed video labeling for machine learning and real-time detection for wildlife conservation.

Prior to their time at USC, Kevin worked as an Account Engineer at Baker Hughes, a GE company, from June 2015 to August 2016. Kevin also had a role as a Process Engineer at Upstream Development and Engineering Inc. from December 2014 to May 2015.

Kevin started their career as a Technical Summer Intern at Sandia National Laboratories in July 2013.

Kevin Le earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego, completing their studies from 2010 to 2014. Kevin then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science at the University of Southern California from 2016 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, Kevin has obtained several certifications, including Full Stack MERN: React, Redux & Node.js from Udemy in July 2020, IBM Cloud Private - Foundation Technology from IBM in September 2018, Machine Learning by Stanford University from Coursera in July 2017, Engineer in Training (EIT) from NCEES in August 2014, and Certified Associate LabVIEW Developer from National Instruments in December 2013.
