Vahid Kowsari

Vahid Kowsari has over 20 years of work experience, beginning with IBM Global Services in 1996 as an Application Specialist. In 1997, they joined OpenTV as a Senior Software Engineer and was promoted to Engineering Manager in 2004. From 2010 to 2014, they were the Director of Production and Sales at Kowsar Jewelers. Vahid then moved to Palette Software (San Francisco) as Director of Engineering and later to Cognitive Networks as Director of Engineering and Senior Embedded Engineer. In 2015, they joined Wanda Inc. as a Staff Software Engineer and in 2017, they were the VP of Engineering at Oncoverse and Founder & CTO at ixlayer. At ixlayer, they provided an end-to-end solution for integrated health systems to deliver precision health tests for their patients. At Oncoverse, they offered online cancer case review and Virtual Tumor Boards functionality for clinics and Hospitals.

Vahid Kowsari obtained their BS in Electrical Engineering from The City University of New York in 1994, followed by an MS in Computer Science from the same institution in 1996. Vahid also obtained a BA in Biology from Syracuse University between 1987 and 1989. Additionally, they obtained a Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance in March 2015.
