Shawn Alimohammadi

Shawn Alimohammadi is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in project development, sustainable practices, and education. Currently serving in global coordination at ixo and as a project development officer at Energy Endeavour Foundation, Shawn also holds founding roles at Afrika Ikalafe and Hanging Herbs, both focusing on land-based healing and urban agriculture, respectively. A former sustainability sciences teacher at Newberry House Montessori Schools, Shawn developed an innovative curriculum addressing various interdisciplinary topics. Previous roles include researcher at the International Science Council and special projects lead at Reflective Learning, emphasizing a commitment to social impact and environmental ethics. Shawn's academic background includes a Master's in Sustainable Development Planning & Management and a Bachelor's in Economics, Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Philosophy from Stellenbosch University.
