Valerie Norwood Burniece

Valerie Norwood Burniece has extensive experience in finance and operations management. Valerie is currently serving as the CFO at iXsystems, where they have successfully managed the finance, accounting, and treasury functions. Prior to this, they worked as the CFO and COO at Mission Hospice, where they implemented scalable organizational architecture and processes to handle significant growth. Valerie also led a technology overhaul and achieved positive net operating income before donations. Valerie has also served as a partner and CFO at The Burniece Group and held leadership roles at Omnicell Technologies, Rutilus Software, Cisco Systems, Lam Research, Apple Computer, and Digital Equipment Corporation, where they contributed to major business growth, implemented effective financial strategies, and managed diverse functions such as sales, operations, and software.

Valerie Norwood Burniece has obtained a BA degree in Political Science from Syracuse University. Valerie later pursued an MBA with a focus on Finance at Northeastern University. Continuing their education, they earned an MS in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. Valerie also attended Harvard University, where they specialized in Policy Analysis.
