Cole Marra

Cole Marra is a Product Development Engineer at IZI Medical, having started in January 2021 after previously serving as an Engineering Intern. Cole contributed to a senior capstone project at the University of Maryland, focusing on designing AI to diagnose Hirschsprung Disease from rectal biopsy slides. Internship experience includes work at Imagilin Technology LLC, where methods to improve manufacturing efficiency of probiotic coated dog treats were developed, and serving as a Teaching Assistant for a bioengineering thermodynamics course. Cole also worked as a Research Assistant in a Biophysics Lab, measuring Young’s modulus of hydrogels and designing 3D printed molds for testing. Cole holds a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland, obtained in 2021.
